Preservation Smart - Maplewood Farm, Causeway Street in Millis, circa 1725

With each act of preservation, we bring hope and brightness to these homes, to the past, and save the culture from where we came. With each act of preservation, we become “preservation smart.”

PRESERVATION SMART

Maplewood Farm is for sale. Originally the Joseph Willard Daniels Home, this 5 bed, 2.5 bath 2,600 sq ft home was built between 1725 and 1750 with additions made around 1825 and now sits on a 1.47 acre lot. Keep it as a farm, or preserve the home and land, and have a property with several stables, huge barn built in the 1800s and an underground tunnel for animals. The original lot is being broken up with additional lots available for sale. Maplewood Farm is available for sale for the first time in over two generations for $339,900. Once you visit this home and land you will be captivated by the warmth of the home: you will be able to hear the sounds of laughter and joy that still echo through the halls to this day. For more information, contact the listing broker, Lorraine Kuney of Re/Max Executive Realty at 508-520-9696.

OVPI continues to need funds as we work to secure the future of Oak View and other properties through acquisition, preservation and sharing with the general public. We appreciate that these are very difficult times financially and we are deeply thankful to those of you who have already stepped forward to support us. If you have yet to join our efforts to save these jewels of history and culture, we hope you will consider making a donation today. Thank you for being “preservation smart.”

With gratitude and best wishes
